Saskatchewan CISM Network

Our mission

To support the development and maintenance of peer support programs for our province's public safety personnel and healthcare workers. Our education, training, consultation and resources support a comprehensive peer-driven approach to critical incident stress management.

The professions we support are both volunteer and paid service fire departments, police, emergency medical services, conservation officers, wildland firefighters, search and rescue, communications/911 dispatch, disaster workers, nurses, physicians and others.

The ICISF Model of peer support is often referred to as Critical Incident Stress Management or CISM.

CISM is a comprehensive, integrated, systematic and multi-component psychological support program specifically designed to meet the needs of public safety personnel and healthcare workers in our province.
